A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to wish Karl Henry all the best after the Molineux cult hero announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 36.
The midfielder began his career at Stoke City but went on to join his hometown club in 2006 and went on to become captain of the side in the Premier League.
Henry spent seven seasons at Wolves, making upwards of 270 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and registering eight assists according to Transfermarkt.
He then moved to Queens Park Rangers in 2013 and helped them reach the Premier League via the playoffs the following year, before going on to play for Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City.
