The Portugal international joined the Molineux club for £5million last term and has been a sensation for Wolves.

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Moutinho has been voted Player of the Season at the Molineux club’s end of season awards on Tuesday night.
The Portugal international, who joined Wolves for around £5million from Monaco last summer, has been sensational for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in their first season back in the Premier League.
He has made 38 appearances in the top flight, scoring once and registering eight assists (Transfermarkt), while his all-round play, pulling the strings in midfield, has been a key element in the team’s impressive campaign.
Indeed, Moutinho has been highly praised by neutrals, such has been his impact, with talkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino deeming him a “Champions League quality player” and hailing Wolves for “one of the best transfers that has been made in this country”.
Wanderers announced the accolade on their Twitter feed on Tuesday night:
Here is how some of the Old Gold faithful reacted on the social media platform:
Raul Jimenez was named Players’ Player of the Season after scoring 17 goals in all competitions, a superb tally considering it was his first season in England too, while Ruben Vinagre is the young professional of the year.
Defender Lewis Richards won the academy player of the season, Emma Cross picked up the Wolves Women player of the season and Steve Green won the fan of the season award.
