Liverpool will surely look to bring in more attacking firepower in 2022, with Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Hwang Hee-chan now linked.
Liverpool will lose Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane to the Africa Cup of Nations in January, leaving Jurgen Klopp short of attacking options.
One rumour has now emerged, but it surely won’t help Liverpool in January.
The Sunday Mirror (14/11, p70) report that Liverpool have been scouting Wolves loanee Hwang Hee-chan this season.
Wolves hold a permanent option in the loan deal struck with Leipzig, meaning Liverpool’s pursuit won’t be easy.
They would either need Wolves to send Hwang back to Leipzig or activate their purchase clause and sell him on.
Neither seem particularly likely any time soon.
Hwang has four goals in just eight Premier League games this season, so you can understand why Liverpool are impressed.

With Manchester City keen too, Wolves fans are now urging the club to make their move quickly.
Some feel Wolves can’t hang around and need to activate their purchase option on Hwang, just to quell any immediate rumours about his future.
Many have been impressed with Hwang and want him to stay at Wolves for a long time to come.
Others don’t really think Hwang is at Liverpool’s level just yet, even if he has been a bright spark for Wolves this season.
