Wolverhampton Wanderers fans were today presented with the kits their side will wear for the 2018/19 Premier League season.

The shirts have been made by sportwear giants adidas for the first time, and the home shirt is described by the club via their official website as ‘a return to the club’s traditional old gold and black home strip’.

The black and white away strip has a more modern look which nicely complements the home kit, and both numbers have shirt sponsor W88 emblazoned across the midriff – and therein lies the problem for a section of Wolves supporters.
The general consensus so far is that the colouring of the kits looks great and are in line with club tradition, but unfortunately the W88 sponsor is just a bit of an eyesore.
It’ll be down to the players to give the fans a reason turn a blind eye to the sponsor by playing the attractive brand of football that saw them storm to the Championship title last season.
Wolves are showing great ambition ahead of the 2018/19 campaign by signing players such as Rui Patricio and Raul Jimenez, so surely in the grand scheme a slight kit blemish shouldn’t be too annoying.
