Wolverhampton Wanderers climbed up to 16th in the Championship with an impressive win away at Barnsley.
Wolves fans have been heaping praise upon Paul Lambert on Twitter after his men secured an impressive 3-1 victory away at Barnsley on Tuesday night.
Here’s what Wolves fans were thinking this morning
Despite securing a famous victory at Anfield against Liverpool in the FA Cup at the weekend, Wolves would have surely gone into their clash at Oakwell as underdogs as they remain in the bottom half while Paul Heckingbottom’s men sat just outside the play-off places.

However, it was the away side who got off to a blistering start with Kortney Hause breaking the deadlock inside the first five minutes.
And they went into the break 2-0 ahead and with a man advantage as Dave Edwards had doubled their lead while Alex Mowatt had been sent off on his debut for the Tykes.
Edwards put the game beyond doubt 13 minutes from time with Wolves’ third. And although Marc Roberts then ensured that Wolves would not be keeping a clean sheet, the home side were unable to set up a nervy finish as Wolves held on to the 3-1 win.

Although several of the players deserve credit, it is Lambert who has taken many of the plaudits. The former Aston Villa boss has lost just four of his first 14 games in charge, and has won four of his last five in all competitions, including that incredible victory on Merseyside.

That record is all the more impressive given that he has only just been able to start making changes to the team that Walter Zenga assembled and struggled to get the best out of, and the supporters appear to be very grateful to the hierarchy for getting the Scotsman in.
