The Wolverhampton Wanderers legend spent his whole career at Molineux and is adored by the Wolves fans.
A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to Twitter to show love to the club’s post featuring a photo of Carl Ikeme taking in training.
The retired goalkeeper came through the ranks at Molineux and spent his entire professional career on the club’s books, only playing for other teams on loan spells.
Ikeme was diagnosed with acute leukaemia in July 2017 but announced in June 2018 that he was in complete remission after “a tough year and intense chemotherapy” (BBC Sport).
His presence at Wolves’ training ground, which was shared via the club’s social media channels, saw many fans express their delight:

Ikeme made 274 domestic career appearances in all competitions, with over 200 of them coming for Wolves, which he joined in 2000 as a 14-year-old, plus he won 10 international caps for Nigeria, who honoured him at the 2018 World Cup by naming him as their 24th squad member (official Wolves website).
Wolves are gearing up for a busy season in which they will compete on four fronts – the Premier League, the two domestic cups, and the Europa League.
