Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Arsenal 3-1 at Molineux last night.

Wolverhampton Wanderers produced a superb performance on Wednesday night by beating Arsenal 3-1 at Molineux.
Wolves had somehow failed to score against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday despite hammering shot after shot at goal, toiling to a 0-0 draw.
There was no such profligacy on Wednesday night though, and Wolves went ahead of Ruben Neves whipped a superb free kick into the corner of the net.
Jonny crossed for Matt Doherty to head home the second, before Diogo Jota’s run and finish had Wolves 3-0 up before half time.
Wolves did concede one in the second half, as Sokratis Papastathopoulos pulled one back for Arsenal, but it was a key win for Wolves as they took back seventh place.
A host of players have been hailed for their performances, but defender Ryan Bennett has been given the praise he deserves after a superb display.

In a team full of exciting players, Bennett often flies under the radar, and fans have praised the centre back as an unsung hero in this Wolves side.
Others called him ‘absolutely awesome’ and ‘brilliant’ for his performance against Arsenal, with some comparing him to Paolo Maldini and Franz Beckenbauer.
