Wolverhampton Wanderers saw off Crusaders in the Europa League second qualifying round first leg at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers duo Adama Traore and Ruben Vinagre have taken to Twitter with their post-match thoughts after the Molineux club began their first European campaign in almost 40 years in positive fashion.
Wolves ran out 2-0 winners over Northern Irish side Crusaders in Thursday night’s Europa League second qualifying round first leg at Molineux, with Diogo Jota and Vinagre getting the goals for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
The hosts enjoyed 80 percent of possession and weighed in with a gargantuan 30 shots, 10 of which were on target, but to their credit, Crusaders dug deep and, going into injury time, were still just one goal behind.
Jota hammered home a half-volleyed opener from Traore’s cross in the 37th minute and, with one of the last kicks of the game, Vinagre tapped into the empty net after a Joao Moutinho inswinger was fumbled by opposition goalkeeper Sean O’Neill.
Here is what Traore and Vinagre wrote on social media, plus some of the Old Gold faithful’s reaction:
The return leg takes place in Belfast next Thursday before Wolves’ Premier League campaign gets under way on 11 August with a trip to Leicester City.
