Former Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos has no plans to make an imminent return to the Premier League with the reported Wolves target desperate to stay at Real Madrid, speaking to AS.
Zinedine Zidane may have lifted trophy after trophy during his two spells at the Santiago Bernabeu but don’t make the mistake of assuming his departure was met with mourning by every member of the Real Madrid squad.
The likes of Gareth Bale, Martin Odegaard, Mariano Diaz and Luka Jovic could all be handed fresh starts in the Spanish capital under Zidane’s successor – the returning Carlo Ancelotti – with Ceballos also hoping to make up for lost time in that iconic white shirt.
At the end of June, El Confidencial reported Wolverhampton Wanderers were weighing up an approach for the £14 million-rated playmaker, despite the fact Ceballos struggled for consistency during two up-and-down seasons at Arsenal.
But the former Real Betis playmaker has never hid his desire to fight for his place and prove those doubters wrong at arguably the biggest club in world football.

“I am very calm and I have been very clear – I have a two-year contract with Real Madrid. My intention is to stay,” says Ceballos, who has started just 17 La Liga games since his 2017 arrival at the Bernabeu.
“It is clear that I would like to play for Real Madrid. You have to know what the coach wants and you have to be objective but my intention is to play next year at Real Madrid.
“I have never regretted signing for Real Madrid. It is what any player would want because you know they look at the best footballers in the world.
“I have always wanted to do important things at this club and I am going to fight for it.”
Wolves have already completed the signings of Yerson Mosquera and Francisco Trincao, with Olympiacos goalkeeper Jose Sa expected to arrive in the coming days.
