According to a report by Defensa Central, Wolves have made an offer for Real Madrid right-back, Dani Carvajal.

Wolves make offer for Dani Carvajal

It has been mentioned that if the 5-time Champions League winner does accept the switch to Julen Lopetegui’s side, it will only go through in the summer.

Furthermore, the report claims that Carvajal is ‘tempted’ by the idea of joining Wolves, as the prospect of playing in the Premier League has always intrigued him.

It is believed that the Spanish contingent at the club, which includes the likes of Pablo Sarabia, Diego Costa and Adama Traore could potentially convince the decorated defender to join the club.

Additionally, the 31-year-old is said to share a strong relationship with Sarabia, who left Paris Saint-Germain to join the relegation fodder in January.

As a result, as ludicrous as it may well sound, Dani Carvajal, described as ‘the best’ in his position for years by Jordi Alba (via SPORT) could accept the offer on the table and become a Wolves player next season.

The ageing defender’s contract expires in 2025, which could well force Real Madrid to let go of the club legend.

Much like in the same vein to Casemiro, who is thriving at Manchester United, the same could be the case with Carvajal if he decides to leave the Spanish capital to experience English football in all its glory.

Carvajal would be an incredible addition for the club

While Dani Carvajal is undergoing a decline in his displays this season, he would still offer enough quality to take the Wolves defence to another level.

Also, considering the Spaniard has completed club football for all practical purposes, his presence in the dressing room would elevate the club as a whole.

While the deal will understandably be difficult to get over the line, Wolves must do everything in their power to convince Dani Carvajal to sign on the dotted line.
