Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches, and the Premier League club’s fans are buzzing at the prospect of seeing the former Swansea City loanee in action at the Molineux Stadium next season.

According to Diario de Noticias, the Wanderers, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship this campaign, are interested in signing Sanches in the summer transfer window.

Wolves fans reacted positively to the speculation, as reported on HITC Sport, but it seems that they will be left disappointed.

That’s because Bayern Executive Board Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has stated that Sanches will return to the Allianz Arena next season after spending the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Swansea, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

The Sun quotes Rummenigge as saying about Sanches: “Sanches is coming back to us. Our new coach Niko Kovac will try to bring him back up to his previous level, and it is an exciting challenge.”
