Wolverhampton Wanderers are undoubtedly a club on the rise.

Wolves chairman Jeff Shi sat down for an exclusive interview with the Express & Star, and shared his dream to increase the capacity at Molineux to 50,000 seats.
The Black Country outfit have enjoyed a wonderfully successful Championship campaign thus far, and sit at the top of the table, although they are currently in the midst of a real sticky patch – one that has seen their lead at the top cut to just three points.

Wolves are a tremendously ambitious club, though, and their recent poor run will not affect their plans to continue their development and evolve into one of the biggest teams in England.
Shi spoke to the Express & Star, and explained how it is his ambitious plan to increase the capacity at Molineux, but that it will only happen when Wolves establish themselves as a Premier League side:

“Let’s try to get to 50,000 as soon as possible. Everyone wants to have a big stadium. It’s a step by step process and only when we build a strong team and can compete comfortably in the Premier League is the time to expand the stadium. Eventually, if we can achieve that, we’ll do it of course.”
Despite their recent run of form, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side remain hot favourites to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
Wolves face two vitally important home games over the next five days against Reading and Burton Albion respectively, and if they manage to take six points from those outings, they will be in a fantastic position to secure promotion to the top flight.
