Wolves boss Paul Lambert spoke to reporters yesterday, and offered high praise for the job being done by Garry Monk at Leeds, as quoted by the Express & Star:
The Whites currently sit in fifth position in the Championship table, with a five point advantage over seventh placed Fulham, and only five games remaining.
Wolves’ campaign has been quite different, however, with Lambert’s side currently languishing in 15th spot, although they did showcase what they are truly capable of, when they reeled off five consecutive victories over this past month.
And the Scot must be looking to Monk’s Leeds side for inspiration, as he looks to guide his side back to the Premier League next term.
The former Swansea City boss was handed the reigns at Elland Road last summer, and many expected the Whites to struggle, especially with the interference of Massimo Cellino.

Monk has worked wonders though, with the West Yorkshire outfit currently in a great position from which to achieve promotion to the top flight, and Lambert was full of praise for for the Leeds boss, when speaking to reporters, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“Garry’s done great at Leeds. They’re big crowds, big atmospheres, big games, everything you want.”
Lambert will take his Wolves team to Elland Road on Easter Monday, in a game that could have a big say in the Championship play-off race.
And a win for the Black Country outfit really would put the cats amongst the pigeons.
