Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has not played for Wolverhampton Wanderers since Paul Lambert arrived in the dugout.

Paul Lambert has suggested that Wolves loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is still some way off being ready to push for a return to the first-team, the Express and Star reports.
The Manchester United youngster has not played for the Championship club since the day that Lambert was appointed at Molineux, and has not played a minute for the first-team since the Scotsman took to the dugout.
Despite speculation linking Borthwick-Jackson with a return to Old Trafford as he struggled for game-time (via Telegraph), the 20-year-old has remained with Wolves, which may have made some believe that he still had a role to play under Lambert.
However, the Express and Star has suggested that the youngster is unlikely to play for the club again, and Lambert has confirmed that he is not pushing for a chance at the moment.

“I think Cameron is falling short at the minute,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star.
“He would have to show a lot more. He’s doing alright in training but there’s more he has to do.
“It’s a bit of lack of fitness as well, even though he’s played in the under-23s.”
With Lambert clearly unconvinced about Borthwick-Jackson, it would hardly be a surprise if he does not feature in the final 13 games of the campaign.
Wolves may have two games in hand over most of the teams around them, but their situation in the Championship is still worrying. They sit one place and just one point above the bottom three, so Lambert is surely unlikely to take a chance on a player like Borthwich-Jackson unless he absolutely needs to.
