Wolves have now joined West Ham in the race to sign Konstantinos Mavropanos – who was sold by Arsenal in 2022.
Both Julen Lopetegui and David Moyes are said to be interested in a deal for the Greece international – according to London World.
However, if Wolves or West Ham are to sign Konstantinos Mavropanos, they face a significant rival for his signature.
What’s the story?
Well, Italian news outlet Il Matino have claimed that Napoli – who have just become champions of Italy – are also interested in the Greek defender amid doubts over the future of Kim Min-jae.
Mikel Arteta and Edu loaned Mavropanos to VfB Stuttgart in 2020, with the Gunners including a £3m obligation for the German side to buy the 25-year-old if they avoid relegation.
Thanks to some impressive displays from the Athens-born colossus, they survived, and that £3m clause was triggered.

However, things have been difficult for the German side this season as they sit 17th in the Bundesliga, with relegation now a possibility.
As a result, a number of sides – including Wolves and West Ham – are looking to take Mavropanos from VfB Stuttgart.
Arsenal could benefit from Wolves or West Ham deal
If Wolves or West Ham do manage to sign Mavropanos this summer, Arsenal are set to make a bit of cash.
London World add that the Gunners included a sell-on clause when offloading the centre-back to VfB Stuttgart, meaning they are entitled to a cut of the fee received from any potential sale.
An exact percentage is not mentioned in the article, although Football London believe it is in the region of 10%.
London World do not state how much VfB Stuttgart value Mavropanos at, but seeing as Nottingham Forest made a £17m bid back in January, you could assume their asking price would be around £20m, which would land Arsenal a £2m sum.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the VfB Stuttgart No.5 is a man in demand.
