Camp Nou legend Deco hopes to see Barcelona sign Edmond Tapsoba from Bayer Leverkusen amid interest from Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers, as reported by Marca.
While a number of Premier League clubs are eyeing potential summer deals for the talented central defender, it seems Tapsoba’s agent has his own ideas.
The Burkina Faso international is represented by D20 Sports group – an agency founded by none other than Deco himself.
And, given the choice, the former Portugal international would love to see Tapsoba follow in his footsteps with a move to Catalonia.
According to Sport, Deco is trying to convince Barcelona to make a summer bid for a 22-year-old who, with his expert positional sense and ball-playing style, looks tailor-made for life at Camp Nou.
Then again, with Barcelona in the midst of a financial crisis partly of their own making, the La Liga giants are in no position to spend their way out of trouble.

If they couldn’t afford the £5 million required to sign Eric Garcia in January, it seems unlikely Tapsoba would join in the summer for a fee in the region of £35 million.
The Express claims Wolves may be a more likely destination, despite Deco’s best efforts.
The Black Country giants wanted to sign Tapsoba from Vitoria Guimaraes last year and are considering renewing their interest sooner rather than later.
The Portuguese connection at Wolves may convince Deco, a former Porto star, that Molineux is the ideal destination for arguably his most high-profile client.
Sport1 claims Tapsoba also has admirers at Liverpool.
