Richard Stearman has joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal from Fulham.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the signing of Richard Stearman.

As announced on Wolves’ official website, the Championship club have signed Stearman on a season-long loan deal from Fulham.

The 29-year-old moved to Fulham from Wolves in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Express & Star to be worth £2 million.

During his first spell at The Wanderers, Stearman made 212 league appearances across three divisions between 2008 and 2015.

The former Leicester City defender featured in 28 Championship matches for Fulham during the 2015-16 campaign.

Stearman did not make a single appearance in the Championship this campaign before his season-long loan move to Wolves.

Walter Zenga’s side are aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship this season.

The Wanderers are ninth in the league table at the moment with eight points from five matches, just a point behind sixth-placed Bristol City.
