The Wolverhampton Wanderers ace scored twice against the Premier League champions in a superb result for Nuno Espirito Santo and the Molineux side.

A number of football fans – Wolverhampton Wanderers and neutrals alike – have been commenting on Twitter regarding Wolves ace Adama Traore being named the Premier League Player of the Weekend.
The 23-year-old has split opinion amongst the Molineux fanbase for much of his time in the West Midlands following his switch from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2018 but he put in a pretty much flawless display in Wolves’ 2-0 win at Manchester City.
For the first 70 minutes, Traore kept Etihad talisman Raheem Sterling quiet before being shifted by Nuno Espirito Santo to partner Raul Jimenez in the latter stages of the game and went on to score two superb goals on the counter.
As a result, Sky Sports recognised Traore for his efforts at the weekend in securing the shock result and some fans – including a couple from his former club Middlesbrough – voiced their thoughts on social media:
Traore was briefly the Molineux club’s record signing when they triggered the £18million release clause in his Middlesbrough contract in the summer of 2018, as reported by BBC Sport. and is reported to be on £43,000 per week, according to Spotrac.
