Wolverhampton Wanderers currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table.

Wolves ace Ruben Neves spoke exclusively to the Express & Star about his side’s run-in, and suggested that the international break has come at a very good time for both him and his teammates.
The Black Country outfit currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, six points ahead of Cardiff City, although they have played a game more than Neil Warnock’s side.
Perhaps more importantly, though, Wolves are 13 points clear of third placed Fulham, with automatic promotion seemingly a matter of when, and not if.

Neves has played a key role for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side this season, after joining the club in a deal thought to be worth around £15.8 million in the summer, dictating the tempo of the game from a deep-lying midfield position.
The 21-year-old spoke exclusively to the Express & Star about his side’s Championship run-in, claiming that the international break has come at a great time for Wolves:

“We think game by game. We have a lot of work to do and we’re focused. Now we will enjoy our international break and come back again to do the same. It’s a good time (for the break). We won the last two games so we have to enjoy, to rest and after we’ll come back stronger. I’m happy with (not resting)! I’m really happy to go to the national team and help my country and work with some very good players, the best player in the world.”
After back-to-back wins, it is strange to hear Neves suggest that the international break has come at a good time.
Wolves face a trip to Middlesbrough next on March 30th, before they play host to Hull City four days later, and a return of six points from those games could very well be enough to secure their promotion back to the Premier League.
