Wolves ace Romain Saiss sat down for an exclusive interview with the Express & Star, and shared the reason why he really struggled during his side’s 2-2 draw with Hull City at Molineux on Tuesday night.

The Black Country outfit stretched their lead back to six points over second placed Cardiff City, although they have played a game more than Neil Warnock’s men, ahead of the pair’s vitally important clash in Wales tomorrow night.

Nuno’s men were visibly fatigued against the Tigers on Tuesday, having played more than 20 minutes with nine men against Middlesbrough just four days earlier.

Saiss, 28, spoke to the Express & Star, and shared how his exertions against Boro were to blame for his under-par performance at Molineux two days ago:

Romain Saiss of Wolves celebrates scoring his sides second goal during the Sky Bet Championship match between Millwall and Wolverhampton at The Den on December 26, 2017 in London, England.

“It was very hard for me because I was sick in the national team so I didn’t play the first game. Then after we play at Middlesbrough nine against 11 and it was very hard again against Hull.”

The Morocco international has appeared in all but four of Wolves’ Championship games this season, and that combined with his international commitments have made for a physically punishing campaign for him.

Nuno’s side need just three wins from their last six games to guarantee promotion back tot he top flight, and what better way to start than by beating second placed Cardiff tomorrow night.
