Wolverhampton Wanderers wrapped up promotion to the Premier League in April.

Wolves ace John Ruddy sat down for an exclusive interview with the Express & Star, and shared the strange sensation of playing the last few games knowing that they had promotion to the Premier League already wrapped up.
The Black Country outfit have been quite simply sensational this season, and have topped the Championship table since October 31st.
Nuno Espirito Santo has worked wonders during his time in charge at Molineux, what with his exceptional player recruitment and insistence on nothing less than 100 per cent commitment at all times.

The Wolves squad is so strong that many fans and pundits believe that they can enjoy a successful Premier League campaign without the need to strengthen this summer.
Ruddy spoke to the Express & Star about his side’s wonderfully successful campaign so far, and admitted that playing the last couple of games having already been promoted was a strange feeling:

“It was a strange feeling coming into the last couple of games but we’ve been professional in the way we’ve prepared and focused on making sure we can get the best outcome possible.”
Nuno’s men finish their Championship campaign with a trip to the Stadium of Light to take on already relegated Sunderland on Sunday, and they only need a draw to eclipse the 100 point mark for the season.
