The Reds man bagged a brace for the Anfield U23s against their Molineux counterparts.

Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-23s captain Dion Sanderson has given his thoughts on what it felt like coming up against Liverpool prodigy Rhian Brewster in Sunday’s Premier League 2 clash between the two sides (Wolves website).
The 19-year-old is deemed one of the brightest young talents coming out of the Reds academy and has been tipped for a very bright future – Rangers boss and Anfield legend Steven Gerrard had suggested that Brewster can get to the very top thanks to his “work rate and relentless running” abilities (Liverpool Echo).
Surprisingly, Brewster was involved with the U23s last Sunday rather than the senior team, which had a fixture against Manchester United, but he nonetheless kept his head down and delivered a superb performance, scoring a brace as Neil Critchley’s charges ran out 4-3 winners over Wolves.
“It was great,” centre-back Sanderson told the official Wolves website when asked what it was like coming up against such a talented opponent. “Before the game I was looking forward to playing against him.

“It’s a good opportunity to play against players who have been in and around their first teams. It tells you where you are, in a sense. It was a great opportunity and is a pleasure to play against him.”
Brewster has made one senior appearance for Liverpool since joining the club from Chelsea in 2014, starting in a 2-0 win over MK Dons in the League Cup in September.
