Wolves ace Conor Coady spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought 2-1 win at Middlesbrough on Friday, and shared what Nuno Espirito Santo told the players after the match, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Black Country outfit are now just three wins away from guaranteeing promotion back to the Premier League, but they will be desperate to finish the season in confident fashion, by winning the Championship title.

They currently hold a six point lead over second placed Cardiff City, although they have played game more than Neil Warnock’s men, with seven games remaining.

Coady, 25, addressed the media after Friday night’s win at the Riverside, and opened up on the message that Nuno gave his players in the aftermath of the game, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“The manager’s just told us that there’s a long, long way to go. There’s seven games to go, there’s games where we have to still win to move forward.”

Next up for Wolves is a home game against Hull City on Tuesday night, before they travel to Wales to take on Cardiff on Friday, and a return of six points from those matches would surely all but seal the Championship title for them.
