Ben Marshall completed a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers from their Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.

Ben Marshall has explained how the breakdown of his relationship with former Blackburn Rovers boss Owen Coyle left him trying to force through a move to Wolves during the January transfer window, the Express and Star reports.
Marshall was one of Rovers’ more impressive players this term, but ultimately moved towards the periphery of the squad towards the end of his time at Ewood Park, making just two appearances in the final six weeks of his time there.
He ultimately moved to Molineux at the end of the January window, and he explained how challenging the final weeks of his spell with Blackburn were.
“It was difficult. I went from having a relationship with the manager, to be able to speak to him, to being told not to come in,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star.
“But it’s football. I didn’t feel comfortable there anymore, I knew Wolves were interested so I was trying to push it on my half because it’s football and also it’s my life as well, I’ve got to do what’s right.”
Former Blackburn Rovers manager Owen Coyle
While Coyle is no longer in the job at Blackburn, Marshall will surely be determined to make a statement and enjoy a successful end to the campaign with Wolves due to the current positions of the two clubs.
Paul Lambert’s men are the team immediately above the bottom three in the Championship, while Marshall’s old club are just one place higher in the table, so both are most definitely involved in the fight for relegation, meaning that their clash on April 22nd could have major implications depending on their form up until that point.
