The Wolverhampton Wanderers winger hasn’t exactly set the world alight at Molineux.
Wolves ace Adama Traore spoke to reporters about his start to life at Molineux, and admitted that Nuno Espirito Santo wants him to improve his final product, so he can be utilised as a striker, as quoted by the Shropshire Star.
The 23-year-old joined the Black Country outfit from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2018, for a fee believed to be worth £18 million, but he has since managed just one goal and three assists in 26 appearances in all competitions for Nuno’s side.
Adama is unbelievably talented, but he quite simply must work on his end product, if he is to go on and fulfil his frightening potential.
The former Barcelona youngster spoke to reporters, and admitted that Nuno is keen for him to work on just that, so he can move him into a more advanced central role, as quoted by the Shropshire Star:
“I think I can do miles better. Nuno wants me to improve so I can play as a striker and I think I can do it. The important thing for me is not just to be about pace, the important thing is improving my final end (product).”
Wolves currently sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table, and if Adama can find a way of being more productive in the final third, it would be a great boost to Nuno’s side during the remaining 12 league games.
And if the Spaniard manages to do just that, £18 million will look like a real snip for his services.
