Rob Edwards steered Wolverhampton Wanderers U23s to victory in midweek.
Wolverhampton Wanderers have shared an exciting video clip of a great goal from one of their academy stars on their academy Twitter page.
The young Wolves were in EFL Trophy action in midweek, taking on Carlisle United at Brunton Park, and Rob Edwards’ charges did well, winning 4-2 thanks to Benny Ashley-Seal’s hat-trick and Tsun Dai’s effort.
While Ashley-Seal took the matchball due to his three goals, Dai’s effort was significant as it put Wolves back in front after having been pegged back for the first time, keeping their noses in front, and on top of that it was his first goal in the old gold.
And of course, it was a stunning effort too, bearing down on goal, pulling off a stepover, getting the better of the defenders and slamming into the Cumbrians’ bottom corner from outside the box.
Dai, who moved to England in 2012 after progressing through the Eastern Sports Club and Kitchee Academy systems in Hong Kong, joined the Molineux club this summer from Oxford United for an undisclosed fee (official website).
The midfielder was also previously on the books at Reading and Bury, plus a loan spell with FC Utrecht in the Netherlands, and while with the Shakers, he made nine League One appearances and scored against Fleetwood Town in the EFL Trophy.
