Wolverhampton Wanderers are believed to be on the verge of signing Estoril winger Chiquinho – which may just raise questions about Tottenham target Adama Traore.
A Bola report that West Ham United and Chelsea have been watching Chiquinho for more than two years ahead of a possible deal.
However, it’s Wolves who have moved in to secure the signing of Chiquinho.
It’s stated that Grasshopper Zurich – a team Wolves have close ties to – also eyed Chiquinho, meaning some will wonder about a loan move to Switzerland.
For now though, it looks like Chiquinho is being lined up as a first-team signing for right now.
The Daily Mail report that the fee involved is just £4.2million, and Chiquinho is travelling to England to join Wolves on Monday.
Chiquinho has been compared to Nani and is capable of playing on the left or right flank.
The 21-year-old is quick and tricky on the ball, whilst he has bagged four goals and six assists in 20 games this season.
Chiquinho will now be able to add depth in the Wolves attack behind the likes of Daniel Podence, Pedro Neto, Francisco Trincao and Hwang Hee-chan.
An exciting talent for the future, Chiquinho’s imminent move will still raise questions about the future of Adama Traore.
Traore came off the bench to seal the 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday evening, bagging his first goal of the season.

That was a great moment for Traore, but many still think he will end up at Tottenham this month.
The Telegraph report that Tottenham are desperate to sign Traore this month and are putting together a loan-to-buy deal for the wide man.
Antonio Conte wants to convert Traore from an out-and-out winger into more of a wing back.
With Traore’s contract up in 2023, Wolves may be under pressure to sell the Spaniard this month.
Tottenham may now see that Chiquinho move and believe the door is open for them to swoop in and bring Traore to North London.
