Following a long pursuit, newly-promoted Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal worth up to £42.5m including add-ons to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White.
The 22-year-old will become Forest’s 16th signing of the summer transfer window and the England Under-21 international will be reunited with Steve Cooper.
Gibbs-White was part of the England Under-17s side which won the 2017 World Cup under Cooper, and the pair worked together at Swansea City.

He has scored one goal and claimed one assist in 48 Premier League appearances.
Gibbs-White had played the full 90 minutes in both of Wolves’ two Premier League games so far, but following the club-record signing of Matheus Nunes, there was no guarantee that the man who spent last season on loan at Sheffield United would retain his place in Bruno Lage’s starting line-up.
If Forest do end up forking out £42.5m for Gibbs-White he would become Wolves’ second record sale.
With that in mind, HITC Sport takes a look at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ top five record sales.

Diogo Jota – Liverpool

The former Atletico Madrid moved to Molineux on loan for the 2017-18 Championship-winning campaign before making a £12.8m permanent switch in 2018.
The Portugal international made 131 appearances for the Molineux side, scoring 44 goals.
From 85 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Jota has scored 34 goals and won the League Cup and FA Cup.
Helder Costa – Leeds United

After spending the 2019-20 season on loan at Elland Road, The Whites signed the Angolan winger on a permanent deal for £16m.
A client of Jorge Mendes, the 28-year-old spent last season on loan at La Liga side Valencia and he’s joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad on a season-long loan this summer.
From 109 games for Wolves, Costa scored 19 goals and provided 19 assists with his best performances coming in the Championship.
Matt Doherty – Tottenham Hotspur

With Jose Mourinho at the helm Spurs paid £15m to sign the Republic of Ireland international from the Black Country outfit.
Doherty has started both of the opening games of the new Premier League season on the bench under Antonio Conte, and the attack-minded right-back faces a challenge establishing himself as a regular under the Italian, after the north Londoners splashed the cash this summer.
From 302 appearances for Wolves, the 30-year-old scored 28 goals and laid on 41 assists.
Rafa Mir – Sevilla

After impressing out on loan at Huesca and scoring a hat-trick at the Olympics for Spain, Sevilla came calling for the striker.
Despite only making four first-team appearances for Wolves, Lage couldn’t convince him to stay and Mir wanted to return to his homeland and he joined Sevilla for £13.7m.
He scored 12 goals in his first season under Julen Lopetegui and he netted on the opening weekend of the new La Liga season.
Steven Fletcher – Sunderland

The season prior, the Scotsman had scored 12 Premier League goals but that couldn’t prevent the Molineux side from being relegated.
Following his £7m move from Burnley, Fletcher scored 24 goals from 67 games for Wolves.
The 35-year-old joined Dundee United in the summer after a two-year spell in the Championship with Stoke City.
