Wolverhampton Wanderers have parted company with manager Paul Lambert and striker Paul Gladon appears pleased by the news.

Gladon moved to Wolves in a deal worth a reported £1.7 million in August 2016, but has made only three appearances to date for the Championship side – all of which pre-date Lambert’s November appointment.

Understandably, then, the Dutchman would be encouraged by a change at the top – although he perhaps didn’t need to be quite so public about it.

Whether intentional or not, Gladon was one of 384 [and counting] to ‘like’ Wolves’ Instagram post confirming Lambert’s exit, as spotted by Talksport commentator James Fielden on Twitter.

But it doesn’t end there, with Wolves’ Twitter account appearing to ‘like’ – and subsequently un-‘like’ – Fielden’s tweet about Gladon ‘liking’ Wolves’ Instagram post.

Still with us? Good. Now, back to the real world.

Lambert’s departure had been anticipated, with Nuno Espirito Santo, the former Valencia and FC Porto boss, expected to replace the 47-year-old imminently at Molineux.

Does Gladon deserve another chance at Wolverhampton Wanderers?
