Raul Jimenez of Wolves looks on during the Premier League match between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on May 12, 2019 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez has suggested his injury was ‘just a kick’ in a video posted on Twitter.

Wolves had to substitute off Jimenez last night during the second half of their match against Crusaders.

Jimenez had scored twice for Wolves in the contest, but picked up a knock which left him hobbling.

Thankfully, the Mexican striker did not seem to concerned about the injury after the game.

‘Just a kick’, Jimenez said, when asked by Wolves reporters how bad his injury was.

The hope is that Jimenez will now make it back in time to play Wolves first domestic game of the season.

The powerful forward is vital to Nuno’s side, and it would be a blow if he was to be injured, even after the arrival of Patrick Crutone.

Wolves won 4-1 in Northern Ireland last night, to ensure that they progressed to the next round of Europa League qualifying.
