Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback.

Colback has been made available for Newcastle, and he could be a smart signing for Wolves for the rest of the season.
Colback has a lot to offer at Championship level, and would surely bolster Wolves’ midfield options.

However, the doubts over his value in the Premier League remain, and that means that Wolves are correct to not offer a permanent deal.
If Colback does arrive at Molineux and impress hugely, then Wolves would stand a great chance of signing the 28-year-old at the end of the season anyway.

But, right now, he looks best off as a short-term option for Nuno’s side.
Colback would offer great amounts of energy to Wolves in the Championship, but if they are to be promoted, Nuno’s side may be able to afford better.
