Leeds United are said to want Liverpool’s Danny Ings… but Wolverhampton Wanderers should also be interested.

Wolverhampton Wanderers should rival Leeds United for Liverpool striker Danny Ings in January.
According to The Sun, Leeds are set to launch a bid to bring Ings to Elland Road in 2018.
Leeds believe that the striker could help spearhead their promotion push, and be the final piece of the jigsaw for Thomas Christiansen’s side.
However, if Ings is available then Wolves should be entering the race to sign the Liverpool front man.

Wolves are leading the way in the Championship as things stand, but if there is one position where they could strengthen, it is up-front.
While Wolves possess masses of creativity, they are heavily reliant on Diogo Jota to keep up his goalscoring form.
Ings’ arrival at Molineux would help reduce the pressure on Jota to score, and also give Nuno another brilliant attacking option.

Ings has already been a proven scorer not just at Championship level, but also in the Premier League.
And Wolves will have one eye on the future, meaning Ings is a player who could make the step up with them, if they do go on to achieve promotion this season.
Whether Wolves would be able to snap up Ings on a permanent deal remains to be seen, but if the 25-year-old is available then Nuno should make sure his side are in the queue with Leeds for the striker’s signature.
