Wingers Nathan Byrne and James Henry, and defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell have left Molineux for Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United respectively.

Wolverhampton Wanderers players have reacted with sadness to the departures of Nathan Byrne, James Henry and Ethan Ebanks-Landell to Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United.
Byrne signed a permanent deal at the DW Stadium, while Henry and Ebanks-Landell drop to League One on respective half-season and season-long loan deals.
The trio’s first-team prospects were hit by the captures of Ivan Cavaleiro, a club-record buy from Monaco, and Richard Stearman, who returns to Molineux after a season at Fulham.

Though the calibre of those new arrivals cannot be questioned, with Cavaleiro a full international for Portugal and Stearman having played more than 200 games for Wolves across three divisions, they may it difficult to match the impact of Byrne, Henry and Ebanks-Landell on certain teammates.
“Good look to @EbanksLandell @NathanByrne_ & James Henry on there (sic) new ventures!” Wrote Wolves captain Danny Batth on Twitter. “Great guys hope to see them all do well.”
Midfielder Jed Wallace posted: “Byrne and Henry gone it’s a sad day for the coffee club,” with another, Jack Price, weighing in: “All the best boys @EbanksLandell @NathanByrne_ rip it up lads miss you both.”
Byrne’s departure seemed to sting the most, though, with Jordan Graham posting: “Go enjoy your football again bro! Sorely missed is an understatement!” While George Saville wrote, simply: “Miss you mate.”
Byrne only arrived at Molineux a year ago from Swindon Town and scored twice in 24 appearances. However, he was yet to feature under new boss Walter Zenga.
