Wolverhampton Wanderers won’t be appointing Nuno Espirito Santo as their new boss having decided against making a move.
Wolves parted ways with Bruno Lage earlier this month after a disappointing start to the season.
Almost three weeks on, Wolves still don’t have his replacement secured after failing to convince Julen Lopetegui to come in.
A host of other names have been linked with the Molineux job but it sounds like Nuno won’t be returning after all.

Wolverhampton Wanderers won’t be appointing Nuno
Reports last week suggested that Nuno was seriously in contention for a shock return to Wolves.
The Daily Mail reported last week that Nuno wanted a return to Wolves less than 18 months since leaving the club.
The Athletic then claimed that Nuno had indeed held talks with Wolves, only for reports in Saudi Arabia to suggest that a deal would cost at least £3.5million.
Paying millions to bring in a manager you offloaded just last year doesn’t exactly sound great and it’s a move Wolves now won’t be making.
The Guardian claim that Wolves have now decided to go in a different direction to Nuno after holding talks over a shock return.
Nuno’s football was fairly pragmatic and Wolves seemingly don’t want to go back to that, even with Nuno faring well with Al-Ittihad.
Wolves have seemingly decided that they want a progressive young coach and Queens Park Rangers boss Michael Beale is their choice.
90Min have added that Wolves have refused to pay the lofty compensation Al-Ittihad wanted for Nuno, meaning there are basically two reasons for no deal being done.
Beale is likely to come cheaper than Nuno but appears to stylistically fit what Wolves are seeking.
The deal isn’t done yet but it looks like Beale will be heading to Wolverhampton and Nuno will be staying put in Saudi Arabia.
