Could Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Fulham to promotion and the Crystal Palace winger?

Bakary Sako of Crystal Palace celebrates after the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Watford at Selhurst Park on December 12, 2017 in London, England.

Bookmaker Bet Victor has opened a market on Bakary Sako’s next club, and made Wolverhampton Wanderers 2/1 favourites to sign the Crystal Palace winger – ahead of 6/1 Fulham.

Sako, who left Wolves for Palace three years ago, is out of contract at the end of the campaign.

Bakary Sako of Wolverhampton shoots during the Sky Bet Championship match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Fulham at Molineux on February 24, 2015 in Wolverhampton, England.

And according to Bet Victor there is no shortage of clubs in the running to sign him, with Derby County, West Bromwich Albion, Brentford and Queens Park Rangers (all 8/1) also listed.

It is little surprise, however, to see Wolves leading the early betting, as the only one of those clubs to be guaranteed Premier League football next season – not to mention Sako’s emotional ties to the Molineux club.

Fulham's Head Coach Slavisa Jokanovic looks on ahead of the Sky Bet Championship match between Fulham and Brentford at Craven Cottage on April 14, 2018 in London, England.

Although that could change in the coming weeks, with automatic promotion hopefuls, Fulham, and play-off chasers Derby and Brentford, still hoping to follow suit.

Sako was starting to hit form before having his season curtailed by an ankle injury in January, and the Mali international may not play again for Crystal Palace, whose manager Roy Hodgson has declared him a doubt for the start of the new campaign.

Could Sako leave Crystal Palace for Wolves or Fulham this summer?
