Bonatini has not scored in any of his last 13 games for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Leo Bonatini’s goal drought continued despite Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 3-0 win at Leeds United on Wednesday.

The Brazilian scored 12 goals in his first 20 league games for Wolves, but has failed to find the net in 13 outings since then.

His early form prompted talk of a permanent transfer being agreed in time for next season, when Bonatini’s loan from Al-Hilal is due to expire. However, it would come as no surprise to learn that Wolves have since developed reservations.

To make matters worse, Benik Afobe’s Elland Road strike is likely to threaten Bonatini’s starting place.

Yet, while a number of Wanderers fans have grown concerned about the 23-year-old, there is still a fair share backing him after his Leeds display.
