The 24-year-old striker did not start the match, but the former Arsenal prospect came on as a substitute in the 77th minute.
The DR Congo international re-signed for Wolves on loan from Premier League club Bournemouth on January transfer deadline day.
During his first spell at Molineux, Afobe scored 23 goals in 48 appearances for the Wanderers, according to BBC Sport.
Nuno’s side got the better of United 3-0 on Saturday evening, thanks to goals from Ruben Neves, Diogo Jota and Ivan Cavaleiro.
The win on Saturday evening means that Wolves remain at the top of the Championship table with 68 points from 30 matches.
