Wolverhampton Wanderers suffered a bitterly disappointing home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship yesterday.

Wolves fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to their team’s disappointing home loss on Saturday.

The Black Country outfit lost 2-0 to the Owls at the Molineux yesterday, after putting in a performance bereft of any kind of invention or attacking intent, summed up by their paltry tally of just three shots on target.

Fernando Forestieri put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot in the 15th minute, before Kieran Lee doubled Wednesday’s advantage just before the half an hour mark.

Although Carlos Carvalhal’s men looked the far more dangerous of the two sides, the game was pretty even from a possession perspective, with the hosts having 52 per cent of the ball throughout the duration of the 90 minutes.

Paul Lambert’s men now sit in an extremely precarious position in the Championship table, just outside the relegation zone ahead of Cardiff City, separated only by goal difference.

And, in the wake of their disappointing home loss to the Owls, Wolves fans took to Twitter to vent their frustration at another poor performance – something that is becoming far too commonplace at the Molineux these days:
