The former Wolves midfielder named the best boss he worked under at Molineux, and some fans seemed to disagree with his choice.
Wolverhampton Wanderers invited former midfielder Seyi Olofinjana to the Old Gold Club this week to get his views on the years he spent at Molineux.
The 38-year-old played for Wolves between 2004 and 2008, making 142 appearances for the club which included 18 goals and six assists, according to Transfermarkt, and is now the club’s loan pathway manager, according to the Birmingham Mail.
Olofinjana worked under Dave Jones, Glenn Hoddle and Mick McCarthy at Wanderers, before leaving for Stoke City in 2008 and then going on to play for the likes of Hull City, Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday and Norway’s IK Start.
When asked by the OGC who he deemed the best manager out of the ones he played under at Molineux, he spoke about the strengths of each one before declaring Hoddle to be the best.
“The best of the lot for me was Glenn Hoddle,” he said in the interview, which was posted on Wolves’ Twitter page. “I don’t think his man management was very, very good but tactically he was unbelievable.
“He was the only manager I ever worked with you didn’t need to have a look at the DVD the previous game because I could have scored a brace and I’d be on the bench the next game because he wanted to play a formation that I wasn’t suited to play.”

With Nuno Espirito Santo now at the helm delivering aesthetically pleasing football, getting results and forging a united dressing room, it looks as though there may not be much of a debate in the coming years when it comes to naming a future favourite manager – or indeed present.
