Wolverhampton Wanderers youngster Rafa Mir scored in pre-season yesterday.

Rafa Mir has earned praise for his performance for Wolverhampton Wanderers in their friendly against Basel yesterday.
Mir endured a difficult first six months at Wolves, after joining in January, as he struggled to acclimatise to the English game.

However, Nuno gave the youngster a chance to start from the off yesterday, and Mir took his chance to show Wolves fans that he could have a part to play.
Mir netted Wolves’ first goal in the contest, which they won 2-1, with a nice finish.
And the reaction of Wolves fans to his performance was generally a very positive one.
Whether Wolves will look to loan out Mir this season remains to be seen.
The youngster seems to face fierce competition for a place in Nuno’s starting line-up following the arrival of Raul Jimenez on loan from Benfica.
Wolves kick their Premier League campaign off with a match against Everton.
