Wolverhampton Wanderers have finished in the top seven in their first season in the Premier League under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Wolves fans on Twitter are adamant that Nuno Espirito Santo should be named the Manager of the Season after he was nominated with three of his other counterparts.
The Midlands club posted on their official Twitter account that Nuno has been nominated for the Premier League’s main prize, alongside Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino.
Nuno joined Wolves during the summer of 2017 and in his first season in charge, he guided them to the Championship title and promotion to England’s top-flight.
The success didn’t stop there for the club because during this campaign, they have secured a top-seven finish, not forgetting their run to the FA Cup semi-final.
It won’t be a surprise to see Nuno winning the award given what he has done at the club, but he is in for some stiff competition.
The Premier League title is still up for grabs and the manager that comes out on top in that race may just find themselves walking away with the prize.
Here is a selection of Wolves fans reacting on Twitter to Nuno’s nomination:
In terms of league position, Wolves will finish seventh and their season will end this Sunday because they aren’t in any domestic finals.
But they can still have a big say on who wins the Premier League title because if Man City drop points at Brighton then a win for Liverpool at home to Wolves would see them crowned champions of England.
