Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Leo Bonatini has not scored in 2018.
Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have suggested that Leo Bonatini shouldn’t be kept on if they are promoted.
Bonatini arrived at Wolves last summer on loan from and he immediately made a major impact at Molineux.
The striker shot to the top of Wolves’ goalscoring charts in his initial few months at the club, but the goals have dried up more recently.
Bonatini has not scored for Wolves in 2018, with his future at the Midlands club now uncertain.
Bonatini, for his part, wants to stay and he told the Express and Star: “I’m on loan here, really, until the end of this season from Al-Hilal. I don’t know what will happen.
“But I know what I want, I want to stay.
“Here’s a place that I was able to adapt very well to the game style, it’s a game style that I like a lot, the country is a very good country, where I adapted to be able to live.”
However, Wolves fans are less convinced that signing Bonatini would be a good idea.
While the Brazilian remains a very popular figure, there is a feeling that he would not be good enough to play for them in the Premier League.
Wolves look almost certain to get promoted this season, as they have overcome a brief wobble to re-establish their superiority at the top of the division.
Wolves are currently leading the way in the Championship, and have a six point cushion over their nearest rivals, Cardiff City.
