Portugal’s Pepe challenges Iceland’s Jon Dadi Bodvarsson
Wolverhampton Wanderers produced a rousing fightback to draw 2-2 with Rotherham United in their first game of the new Championship season on Saturday afternoon.
With a host of new faces brought in, a new manager in Walter Zenga and new owners in the Fosun Group, there was certainly some excitement surrounding Wolves as they travelled to Yorkshire.

However, it looked like being a miserable first game in charge for Italian boss Zenga, as goals from Danny Ward and Will Vaulks handed Rotherham a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes.
George Saville pulled one back for Wolves before half-time, but Dominic Iorfa’s second-half red card appeared to have put paid to any hopes of Wolves taking points back to Molineux.
Wolves did have a saviour though, as new signing Jon Dadi Bodvarsson struck with 25 minutes to play to hand Zenga and Wolves a share of the spoils.

Wolves couldn’t grab a shock winner, but fans were happy with a point having been 2-0 down, and they were particularly impressed with the performance of Bodvarsson.
The 24-year-old striker joined the club from German outfit Kaiserslauten earlier this week, and despite struggling in the 2. Bundesliga with just two goals in 15 games, Bodvarsson made an instant impact for Wolves with a superb finish to claim a point.

After the game, Wolves fans took to Twitter to rave about Bodvarsson, praising him for being ‘fantastic’, ‘brilliant’ and even ‘unplayable’ as the Iceland Euro 2016 star impressed on his debut.
Others noted that he already better than his compatriot and former Wolves striker Bjorn Sigurdarson, and can’t wait to see more of him alongside midfielder Joao Teixeira this season.
