The Wolves legend, who came through the ranks at Molineux, completed a permanent move to Stoke City in January.

Wolverhampton Wanderers permanently parted ways with one of the club’s modern-day legends in January as long-serving defender Danny Batth completed a permanent move to Stoke City.
The 28-year-old Wolves academy graduate, who had been on a season-long loan at Middlesbrough, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at the Bet365 Stadium, according to the official Potters website.
Born in Brierley Hill, Batth joined the club’s academy at the age of 10 and made 212 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals, according to Transfermarkt.
The centre-back played 21 times for Wolves last season as they won the Championship title, but was deemed surplus to requirements by Nuno Espirito Santo in the Premier League, which has culminated in his departure.
As we all know, football is an emotional game but at the end of the day, if a player is not in a manager’s plans, some tough decisions have to be made, and as such, Batth will be starting a new chapter in his professional career.
After making the switch, the Wolves Twitter account posted an open letter typed by the Wanderers stalwart, entitled “To My Hometown Club”:
