The Wolves academy ace, 19, is set to make the squad for the FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury.

One of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ brightest young players is set to be named in Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad for Tuesday night’s FA Cup fourth-round replay against Shrewsbury Town.
19-year-old Niall Ennis has long been touted for a bright future at Molineux but he has suffered some big injuries over the past few years which have unfortunately delayed his upward trajectory.
In 2016, Ennis fractured his fibula twice just as Kenny Jackett was ready to hand the then 16-year-old his debut, while two games into his subsequent loan stint at Shrewsbury, he suffered a serious knee injury, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The teenage ace was not included in Wolves’ pre-season tour of Switzerland in July as he was still making his recovery but, speaking ahead of Tuesday’s big replay, Nuno told reporters he would be drafted in as Diogo Jota recovers from a knock picked up against Everton.
Ennis has been impressing for the Under-23s in recent weeks, scoring the winner against Fulham in the Premier League 2 on January 25 and also grabbing the crucial goal in the prior U23s game against Hull City in the Premier League Cup.
