The rumoured £1.8 million signing may have played his final game for Wolverhampton Wanderers after heading to Nottingham Forest.

The Wolves forward, Rafa Mir, will spend the forthcoming campaign on loan at Forest.

And according to reports, the Championship side have an option to do a permanent deal next summer, although this has yet to be verified by either Wolves or Nottingham Forest.

Mir arrived at Molineux from Valencia’s B team in early 2018, but has featured on just four occasions – totalling 106 minutes – for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men.

And this is what those of a Wolves persuasion are saying about his move to Nottingham Forest…

Mir spent the whole of last season on loan to Las Palmas, where he scored or made eight goals in 30 games.

The 22-year-old found the net regularly within the youth sides of both Valencia and Spain.

He is the second Wolves forward to be loaned to Nottingham Forest in 2019, after Leo Bonatini spent the second half of last season on Trentside.
