Wolverhampton Wanderers maintained their challenge for the Championship playoffs with victory over Nottingham Forest away from home on Friday evening.
The Wanderers headed into the clash at the City Ground on the back of a 2-0 home win against Derby County before the two-week international break.
It was expected to be tough for Wolves to win against Forest and it proved to be so, but in the end Kenny Jackett’s side picked up all three points with a 2-1 victory.
Wolves are now eighth in the Championship table with 68 points from 40 matches, level on points with sixth-placed Derby County but behind on goal difference.
The former Premier League outfit have a tough run of games coming up, starting with Leeds United at home on Monday.
With games against Middlesbrough (away) and Ipswich Town (home) to come later this month, Wolves have their work cut out.
However, the Wolves fans are understandably excited about making the Championship playoffs and are confident that the team will finish in the top six.
