Conor Coady, now at Wolverhampton Wanderers, left Liverpool for Huddersfield Town in 2014.
Coady started his professional club football career at Liverpool and was on the books of the Reds until the summer of 2014 when he moved to Huddersfield Town.
During his time at the Reds, the 25-year-old defender had a loan spell at Sheffield United during the 2013-14 campaign.
The former England Under-20 international defender joined Wolves from Huddersfield in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £2 million.
Coady has established himself as an important player for Wolves, and the defender has said that it was not hard for him to leave Liverpool when he did.
The 25-year-old told The Times: “Do you know what, it wasn’t as hard as people might think. I’d been on loan to Sheffield United, which was a fantastic loan move for me. I played 50 games.
“I didn’t really want to come back and play under-23s. I had some brilliant footballers in front of me and it was going to be so, so hard.
“At the time, I thought to myself, ‘I’ve been here all my life,’ but I just wanted to play football.”
Premier League success
Coady is a key figure in the current team at Wolves, who are going strong in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
The 25-year-old has played in eight Premier League appearances for Wolves so far this season, while in 2017-18, the defender featured in 45 league games for the Wanderers, according to WhoScored.
