Wolverhampton Wanderers have enjoyed an excellent first season back in the top flight this term, but if they sign Nicolas Otamendi and Cedric Soares in the summer then next campaign could be even better.

According to goal.com Otamendi is on Wolves’ wishlist, while TMW suggest that Cedric is wanted by Nuno.

And if Wolves could complete the double swoop then their defence would look even stronger.

Otamendi is a Premier League winner, and his experience could be key in taking Wolves to the next level.

The Argentine is a combative presence, and he would surely be an upgrade on Ryan Bennett, even though the Englishman has been a solid performer this term.

Cedric, too, would be an excellent addition to Wolves’ squad, and would offer real competition on the right-hand side of their defence.

Matt Doherty has coped well this season, but Cedric has proven himself to be a threat in the Premier League over a number of years.

The Portuguese defender is a real talent going forward, and his energy could add even more threat to Wolves’ attack.

The two signings now look really exciting, and if they are the calibre of players Wolves have in mind for the summer, then the future looks very bright at Molineux.
