Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed only one player this month in the form of Rafa Mir.

Speaking to The Birmingham Mail, Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has intimated that he might dip into the transfer market again this month.

Wolves bounced back to winning ways on Saturday by beating Ipswich Town 1-0 at Portmand Road, a week after losing 2-0 to Nottingham Forest.

In doing so, Nuno’s men moved 12 points clear of second-placed Derby County – who have a game in hand – and extended their cushion in the automatic promotion spots to 14 points.

It does not appear as if Wolves need any reinforcements in order to secure their promotion back to the Premier League, but the Portuguese manager has already signed Rafa Mir from Valencia and there is speculation about other arrivals.

One such name that isn’t going away is Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe who, according to Sky Sports, is a Wolves target.

And with four days left in the transfer window, Nuno says he is happy with his squad but suggested that he could potentially do more business.

“I’m happy with what I’ve got but the market is always there,” he told The Birmingham Mail.

“It’s open, like I always say, so we have to stay wise and realise that if a good chance comes, can we take it?

“At the same time we have to not allow anyone to go away, That’s the most important part.”
